It’s so intriguing to think about and contemplate what it is I actually DO for my career(s). First and foremost, I am ‘of service’. I always have been. I worked in the food service industry literally my entire life (age 13 – 38), and now on our farm, we grow an abundance of food for others, and process said food into other forms of food for others. No, it’s not plated up and hot and steamy with a glass of cola, like my other jobs, but it’s still food service. This is just more aligned with me and my energetic field – focusing on health. Growing and processing food for the community is only part of what I do though… it is a section of me, a big one, but still just a section.
Another service part of me is to validate and teach people who they are and how their energy functions. I am of service in a deeply psychological way.
I love that! I love that through astrology, I get to read a bunch of symbols on a page and then tell people about themselves, their past, the energy of their future, and what works for them BEST. It feels amazing to be of service in such a deeply personal way, and to be trusted with such powerful information. In my birth chart, having Jupiter (Expansive, Optimistic, Psychological) in Scorpio (Sharp, Intense, Powerful, Deep, Transformation) in the 6th House (Service, Health, Daily routines), sure shows up for me to be of service in an intense way!
Doing a reading for someone is a powerful experience for me and for them. They feel moved and are frequently brought to tears, or experience extreme emotional release through laughter or simply some deep relief and acceptance. Many clients are floored by some of the revelations in their readings, and it never ceases to amaze me how much spirit guides me in these readings to focus on a specific topic or area of the chart, only to find that topic is the thing they were struggling with the most or the longest. I feel so honored and privileged to be the messenger for so many people.
Some of the most life changing readings I’ve done have been for some of my on-going clients I meet with weekly or monthly. For them, we explore deeper and wider, and we dive into the transiting planets in the sky and how that energy is affecting them, or we talk relationship charts and how they can be the best version of themselves within relationships.
It’s SO FUN being of service in this capacity!!! And to be able to meet with a client multiple times and help them truly accept themselves and work with the energies The Universe/God/Spirit gave them… OOOOooo! It’s so good!
Sometimes it feels like I’m dreaming cuz I have so much fun doing what I do. Even during the hard readings, and there are some, I feel blessed to be able to hold space so they can grieve or heal or cry. As humans, we go through some truly hard, gut-wrenching experiences, and for some, understanding the lessons, the planets involved, and what energies to expect, can be immensely helpful to our little human brain.
There are so, so many readings I enjoy doing. Health-Astrology is by far my favorite as it merges my two loves… but where my soul feels called and nourished, is in the parent/child department. Giving a parent the gift of understanding their child and the role they play, the energetics and work and how to best work with them, is the BOMB! I think it is what I am here to do.
Truly… My journey to becoming a parent was in and of itself, totally life-altering… and now, here on the other side, with 5 kids – essentially 2 sets of kids, I feel called to use my gifts to help create a strong connection and understanding between parents and kids, heal generational traumas, hurts, and resentments that show up in our birth charts. I am here to make conscious the unconscious energies from our lineage that we must heal with our children. This is the kind of stuff I do with relationship readings and on-going sessions and this is the kind of stuff that just gets me so excited!
How amazing it is to have found what I want to be when I grow up. I am 41 ½ years old and I have had 40+ jobs (that is not an exaggerated number). I have tried and done a LOT in my life and what I know to be true is that I am here to be Of Service to the people in a BIG, DEEP and HEALING way… both physically, with food, and emotionally, spiritually, psychologically, and generationally. To be the bridge of understanding. What a blessing it is.
